越南太原大學短期來台大學學術實習交流

Welcome student from Thai Nguyen University of Information and Communication Technology (ICTU) of Vietnam join five months in academic exchange internship at the Department of Information Engineering and Computer Science (IECS) of Feng Chia University (under TEEP Project of Taiwan Ministry of Education (MOE))

Visiting Taiwan, especially Feng Chia University (FCU) in Taichung, has been an exceptionally enriching academic and cultural experience. Taiwan, with its unique blend of tradition and modernity, offers an inspiring environment for intellectual growth and exploration. My first time at IECS of FCU has been marked by opportunities to engage with diverse perspectives, cutting-edge research, and a vibrant academic community.

Upon arriving at FCU, I was immediately struck by the dynamic energy of the students, the expansive campus, and the impressive stadium, all complemented by state-of-the-art facilities and equipment. This environment fosters collaboration and creativity, motivating both students and faculty to push the boundaries of their knowledge and research.

One of the highlights of my time at FCU has been participating in academic exchanges and collaborations on projects of computer vision and embedded system, particularly focusing on detecting proper handwashing according to WHO guidelines to help children wash their hands by deep learning and artificial intelligence correctly. These experiences have not only expanded my intellectual horizons but also provided practical insights into the challenges and opportunities within my field of study. Working alongside master students and Associate Professor Feng-Cheng Lin (林峰正), I have been supported with access to research spaces and modern computers. I have gained invaluable experience in the importance of cross-cultural communication and collaboration in academic research.

Beyond academics, my experience in Taiwan has been deeply enriched by the culture and hospitality of the Taiwanese people. Their kindness and enthusiasm have left a lasting impression on me. I was particularly impressed by the orderly traffic, where the absence of car horns and the universal use of helmets stand out. Taiwanese cuisine, especially bubble tea and noodles, has been a delightful discovery, and I look forward to savoring more of the local specialties during my stay.
